Barret Alexander is a Senior Associate at Kabateck LLP with experience providing litigation support to the firm’s robust trial team.

Mr. Alexander has extensive experience handling various aspects of civil litigation cases including law and motion, legal research, taking and defending depositions, written discovery and settlement negotiations.

Most recently, Barrett helped secure a $5,200,000 settlement against an insurance company that failed to pay the amounts owed to their client for damage to its beachfront property that was sustained from Hurricane Florence. He also helped reach a $750,000 settlement on behalf of a bankruptcy debtor seeking contribution from OOCL and OOCL Logistics on a partnership liability theory.

Before joining KBK, Mr. Alexander gained extensive experience assisting firm partners with all aspects of litigation in a wide range of legal fields including Workers’ Compensation, personal injury, real property, contract dispute, and judgment enforcement. He also has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants. Mr. Alexander has represented a wide range of clientele including but not limited to permissibly self-insured employers, counties, insurance companies, and third-party administrators.

Mr. Alexander received his law degree from Whittier Law School in 2016. During his time in law school, Mr. Alexander was the Administrative Justice of the Moot Court Honors Board and won second place at the California State Bar Environmental Negotiations Competition held at UCLA School of Law.
