LOS ANGELES (March 2, 2017)— The Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Nominating Committee has selected Consumer Attorney Brian Kabateck for President-Elect of the organization.
Mr. Kabateck becomes President-Elect on July 1, 2017 and assumes the presidency one year later. The current President-Elect, Michael E. Meyer, will become LACBA president on July 1, 2017.
“I look forward to working closely with Mike Meyer along with other officers in the organization to protect critical services and address the most pressing issues facing lawyers in our community,” said Kabateck. “We want to continue being an important resource for young lawyers by making LACBA more relevant to their needs and their professional goals,” he said.

Mr. Kabateck was president of the Century City Bar Association in 2005-2006, and served as a LACBA trustee in 2000-2003 and 2006-2007. He’s a recent past president of The Consumer Attorneys of California and is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Loyola Law School, Los Angeles.
LACBA is the largest local voluntary bar association in the nation with a membership of more than 24,000 attorneys.
