After eight years of hard-fought litigation, Kabateck LLP and co-counsel have secured a $13 million settlement on behalf of thousands of GoWireless retail sales employees who were systematically underpaid commissions. The settlement received final approval in Nevada State Court last week.
The wage-and-hour case challenged GoWireless’s systematic underpayment of commissions to sales associates, store managers, and commissioned employees at one of Verizon’s largest wireless device retailers, which operates at 16,000 locations in 49 states.
The Kabateck LLP team included Partner Brian S. Kabateck, Partner Shant Karnikian, and Senior Associate Matt Sahak, working alongside co-counsel Michael Gayan and Katrina Stark of Claggett & Sykes Trial Lawyers, Randall Jones of Kemp Jones, Brandon C. Fernald of Fernald & Zaffos, and Sean E. Macias of Macias Counsel.
This significant recovery will provide compensation to thousands of workers who were denied the wages they rightfully earned.
