Demitri Camperos, a Kabateck LLP client and Altadena resident, is embarking on a 700-mile journey to raise awareness and funds for victims of January’s devastating wildfires. Starting October 16th, Demitri will walk from Altadena to Paradise, California—connecting two communities tragically impacted by catastrophic fires.
After losing his family home of more than 30 years in the Eaton Fire, Demitri felt compelled to take action. His destination, Paradise, was the site of the 2018 Camp Fire, one of California’s deadliest wildfires. Many Paradise residents are also clients of Kabateck LLP, creating a meaningful connection between these fire-affected communities.
Throughout his trek across California, Demitri will share nightly updates and stories from the road. The funds raised will cover journey costs, with the remainder supporting the Eaton Fire Collaborative—a coalition of over 150 local nonprofits, community groups, and state officials working together to support Altadena’s recovery.
Demitri encourages supporters to share his journey and notes that even small contributions can make a meaningful impact toward recovery efforts for wildfire victims.
