American Airlines Toxic Uniform Verdict Named One of Daily Journal’s Top Verdicts of 2025

The Daily Journal has recognized the American Airlines toxic uniform case as one of its Top Verdicts of 2025 — and we couldn’t be prouder of the team that made it happen.

In this landmark bellwether trial, an Alameda County jury awarded five flight attendant plaintiffs $18,600,000 against manufacturer Twin Hill Acquisition Co., whose uniforms caused serious dermatological, respiratory, neurological, and immunological harm to thousands of airline employees. With more than 400 plaintiffs still awaiting trial, this verdict sets a powerful precedent for what’s ahead.

Congratulations to co-counsel and lead trial attorney Dan Balaban at Balaban & Spielberger LLP, and to our own Brian S. Kabateck, Anastasia Mazzella, and Sheri Lalehzarian for their outstanding work in this complex products liability matter.

Kabateck LLP is a Los Angeles-based plaintiffs’ law firm specializing in mass torts, class actions, insurance bad faith, and disaster litigation.
