Barret Alexander is a Senior Associate at Kabateck LLP with experience providing litigation support to the firm’s robust trial team.

Mr. Alexander has extensive experience navigating all stages of civil litigation, from pre-trial strategy to settlement negotiations. He is skilled in law and motion practice, complex legal research, taking and defending depositions, managing written discovery, and securing favorable outcomes for his clients.

His recent successes include helping secure a $5.2 million settlement for a homeowners association after its insurer failed to properly compensate for hurricane damage, in addition to an $8.8 million claim payment. He played a pivotal role in securing a $2.685 million settlement for Nevada Restaurant Services after its insurer wrongfully denied coverage, handling the bulk of the litigation to achieve justice for the client. He was also instrumental in obtaining a $1.7 million settlement for a commercial property owner whose insurance company wrongfully denied coverage for property damage, as well as a $985,000 settlement for a gymnasium owner whose insurer refused to pay for storm-related damage.

Before joining KBK, Mr. Alexander gained extensive experience assisting firm partners with all aspects of litigation in a wide range of legal fields including Workers’ Compensation, personal injury, real property, contract dispute, and judgment enforcement. He also has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants. Mr. Alexander has represented a wide range of clientele including but not limited to permissibly self-insured employers, counties, insurance companies, and third-party administrators.

Mr. Alexander received his law degree from Whittier Law School in 2016. During his time in law school, Mr. Alexander was the Administrative Justice of the Moot Court Honors Board and won second place at the California State Bar Environmental Negotiations Competition held at UCLA School of Law.
