Press-Telegram: Long Beach mobile home residents awarded $34M more in financial elder abuse case

Residents of the Friendly Village Mobile Home Park in North Long Beach won another $34 million in a case against the park’s owners on Tuesday, Nov. 27, one week after the jury granted them $5.6 million.

Tuesday’s verdict was for punitive damages in the lawsuit that alleged negligence, unfair business practices, retaliatory eviction and financial elder abuse. The money was awarded to 55 residents from 31 families, although over 200 people signed onto the original lawsuit.
