Gary Partamian

Senior Associate

Gary Partamian is a Senior Associate at Kabateck LLP with experience handling sexual abuse cases, mass torts, catastrophic personal injury and insurance bad faith litigation.

Gary received his law degree from Loyola Law School, where he achieved first honors (highest grade in class) in California Civil Procedure. During his time at Loyola, Gary served as a board member and auction chair for the Public Interest Law Foundation, a student-run organization invested in fostering careers of students dedicated to assisting those traditionally underrepresented in the legal system. Additionally, Gary served as a Production Editor and Staffer for the Loyola of Los Angeles International & Comparative Law Review. Gary started his career as a law clerk at Kabateck LLP in 2019 and worked his way up to become an associate attorney after graduation, and now a Senior Associate at the firm.

His hard work is consistently recognized within the firm and his peers within the community. He has moderated and spoken on legal education panels on numerous occasions for institutions such as Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC) and Loyola Law School.

Gary has written several articles on litigating childhood sexual abuse cases and properly supporting victims of childhood sexual abuse, which have been published in the Daily Journal. In 2023, Gary began serving the New Lawyers Division of CAOC, where he served as the Public Relations Chair. In 2024, Gary served as the Secretary of the New Lawyers Division of CAOC and now serves as the Political Chair for 2025.

Beyond his work for the firm, Gary spends most of his time serving organizations such as CAOC, serving as a mentor for current and recently graduated students of Loyola Law School and working on several cases pro bono.

NOTABLE RESULTS

  • $99+Million – Assisted Partner Christopher Noyes in receiving Determination Notices awarded for hundreds of victims of the 2018 Camp Fire as part of the bankruptcy allocation process agreed to by PG&E.
  • $72.8 Million – Along with co-counsel, recovered $72.8 Million on behalf of Porter Ranch residents sickened by an unprecedented natural gas well blowout at the Aliso Canyon Storage Facility in connection with a $1.8 Billion global settlement.
  • $2.68 Million – Settlement of insurance bad faith claim for windstorm damage to commercial property in Nevada.
  • $1.8 million – Settlement for insurance bad faith action against AIG Insurance company for failure to pay homeowner for property damage sustained after the Malibu Woolsey fire.
  • $1.75 Million – Settlement for student-on-student sexual abuse case against Moreno Valley Unified School District for a Plaintiff who was a disabled student with autism and sexually assaulted while being transported home on the school bus.
  • $1.35 Million – Settlement on behalf of a young mother who was catastrophically injured after her car was hit by Riverside Transit bus. 
  • $925,000 – Settlement for client who was injured after an employee of Hylkema Roofing Company struck her vehicle from behind, causing several bodily injuries.
  • $875,000 – Settlement for insurance bad faith action against Allianz Insurance company for failure to pay law firm owner who lost law firm in the 2018 Northern California Campfire, for business loss and interruption as a result of the 2018 Northern California Campfire.
  • $585,000 – Settlement against authorized dealer of for the improper installation of doors and windows on a home in Malibu. The improper installation of the doors and windows lead to severe leaks throughout the home.  

In cases involving school sexual assaults and sexual abuse, Gary helped secure confidential six-figure settlements:

  • On behalf of now adult childhood sexual abuse victim who was sexually abused by his baseball coach at Archbishop Mitty High School on trips during summer league baseball games. Plaintiff was a bellwether in the Northern California Clergy Cases;
  • On behalf of a female student who was assaulted by another student at Clayton Valley Charter High School; 
  • On behalf of a female student who was assaulted by a male student on the Animo Venice Charter High School Campus; 
  • Against Fresno Unified School District after a teaching assistant sexually abused the plaintiff when she was a minor;
  • And against an individual defendant with no insurance coverage who raped Plaintiff in his home.
