In the first loft-related construction defect case in Downtown Los Angeles, Brian Kabateck was able to settle a case for $1.3 million dollars for residents of the 20-unit Toy Warehouse Lofts. The residents filed the class action lawsuit against the developer and subcontractors for improper soundproofing and other construction defects.

KBK represented the family of a driver who struck a tractor-trailer that was illegally parked on the side of the highway.  The tractor-trailer filed to have proper hazard triangles/cones which are typically required when parking on the side of the highway.  The driver died as a result of the accident.
