Anastasia Mazzella Named to Daily Journal’s Top Women Lawyers 2026

Kabateck LLP Partner Anastasia Mazzella has been recognized in the Daily Journal‘s “Top Women Lawyers 2026” for the third consecutive year, honoring her work in plaintiff-side litigation and her dedication to seeking justice for disaster victims and communities.

The feature highlights Mazzella’s practice across mass actions, disaster litigation, class actions, employment discrimination, and sexual assault cases. Over two decades, she has built a reputation as a tenacious advocate for the people the system overlooked.

Her wildfire work carries deeply personal significance. When the Eaton Fire swept through Altadena, Mazzella was displaced from her own home alongside the neighbors she now represents. She leads a mass action against Southern California Edison on behalf of more than 1,000 clients from about 300 households, nearly all of whom came to her by word of mouth. “Every single person is my neighbor,” she told the Daily Journal.

The feature also spotlights her landmark toxic tort work representing American Airlines flight attendants who fell ill after wearing formaldehyde-treated uniforms. That fight has produced two Daily Journal Top Verdicts, including an $18.67 million jury verdict in 2025, with a third bellwether trial scheduled for October.

“We’re giving a voice to people in a system that dismissed them,” Mazzella said. Her recognition underscores Kabateck’s commitment to complex litigation and advocacy for those seeking justice against powerful defendants.
