Richard L. Kellner heads the firm’s class action and mass tort practice. A nationally respected litigator with more than 25 trials to verdict, Mr. Kellner has obtained hundreds of millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements, handling claims involving class action litigation, complex business litigation appellate law, plaintiffs’ employment and labor law, civil rights, and law partnership disputes. Among his notable successes is the class action settlement that he obtained as co-lead counsel on behalf of owners of Epson printers, valued at over $400 million. That settlement is considered one of the largest consumer class action settlements in United States history. Mr. Kellner is presently lead or co-lead counsel in over 30 pending class actions, including those against Hewlett-Packard, Apple, Microsoft, Brother, Google, Samsung, and other major technology companies. Richard also represents the NAACP in a class action brought against 15 national banks arising from discriminatory lending practices.

Mr. Kellner is a highly regarded appellate attorney, having argued more than 100 appeals in state and federal courts, including the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals, the California Supreme Court and the New York Court of Appeals.
